About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Compensation Manager to drive the ongoing design and execution of the company’s compensation programs in both the U.S. and in our international locations. Reporting to the Vice President, Compensation & Benefits, the Senior Compensation Manager will contribute to all aspects of planning, development, and implementation of new and revised compensation programs. This role offers tremendous growth, career progression and exposure to company leadership.
This role is 5 days per week on site in our Arlington, Virginia headquarters office.
Responsibilities
+ Design and maintain compensation and incentive structures / programs for over 6,500+ employees in the U.S. and internationally
+ Lead compensation cycles in Workday (e.g., merit, promotion, market adjustments), partnering with HRBPs, Talent, and Finance
+ Create and maintain pay grades that include geographical variances and align with our competitive compensation objectives
+ Work closely with HR business partners, talent acquisition, and key business leaders on compensation for new hires, promotions, transfers, and on-going job leveling, allowing for dynamic changes as the market demands
+ Partner with HR Business Partners on design of incentive compensation programs and with finance and payroll to execute and track payment of incentives
+ Compile and analyze data and metrics to support business decisions related to Compensation
+ Benchmark roles against market data to maintain competitive and equitable pay practices
+ Support compensation planning, budgeting, and strategic design evaluations with data modeling and scenario analysis
+ Manage relationship with outside salary survey vendors
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations, including pay transparency requirements
Basic Qualifications
+ 7+ years of experience working in Compensation roles
+ Experience with job architecture, levelling guides and market analytics to ensure competitive compensation practices
+ Experience with Workday as system of record for compensation
+ Experience managing the year-end compensation process
+ Advanced Excel skills – data analysis, v-lookups, pivot tables, modeling, etc
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, or related field from an in-person, not-for-profit university or college
+ A track record of commitment to prior employers
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s or other graduate degree in a related field
+ Experience with sales incentives / salesforce compensation
+ Demonstrated writing skills and ability to draft clear, concise presentations
+ Polished communication skills. Comfortable talking and presenting to others, including presentations to business and HR leaders
