What You’ll Do:
+ Serve as a key ambassador for SUNY Niagara through high school visits, college fairs, community events, and outreach efforts.
+ Build partnerships with community-based organizations to expand recruitment of underrepresented student populations.
+ Meet one-on-one with prospective students and families to guide them through the admissions process.
+ Deliver informative and engaging presentations about the college admissions journey.
+ Maintain accurate and timely reports on recruitment activity, and track enrollment of international students.
+ Represent the College at events, sometimes during evenings or weekends.
This position may be based at either or both of our beautiful locations:
+ Sanborn Campus – nestled between Lockport and Niagara Falls
+ Niagara Falls Culinary Institute – in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls

Typical Work Activities
1. Plan & implement recruitment activities to students from all backgrounds to include high school visits, business & industry, community based organizations and other markets as assigned by supervisor
2. Assist prospective students with the admissions process, Student Outcome Tracking counseling, and Excelsior scholarship advisement.
3. Learn International student guidelines and become an international student representative on campus to help assist international students with enrollment issues at SUNY Niagara.
4. Attend college fairs, parents nights, SUNY recruitment functions, and other recruitment oriented activities and events as needed.
5. Assist with campus based recruitment & marketing activities and events & campus tours
6. Utilize the CRM and student information system to process student info, maintain records and prepare reports
7. Perform assigned duties to assist students in the following processes: admission, registration, advisement, financial resources, and other student support services.
8. Prepare and provide admission presentations to groups
9. Serve as a liaison between the Registration and Records office and help evaluate transfer credit through the transcript evaluation process.
10. Serve on college committees as requested
11. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
Essential Functions
Must be able to relate to members of the administration, faculty, staff and student body; must be able to coordinate numerous tasks and projects simultaneously; must be able to operate the student data base system; must be able to prepare and present reports; must be able to prepare and provide presentations to groups; must be able to relate to multiple and diverse populations; must have capability to travel; must be able to work evenings and weekends as required; must be able to maintain a professional appearance.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree;
+ One year full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience working in a higher education setting;
+ Work experience that includes preparing and making presentations to groups.
+ Valid driver’s license.
Desirable Qualifications
+ Master’s Degree in Student Personnel Administration/Higher Education or related field;
+ Experience in college admissions and/or recruitment of underrepresented students;
+ One year full-time or equivalent part-time working with underrepresented populations within urban areas seeking education and training;
+ Experience with Slate CRM , Banner student information system;
+ Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Publisher.

The Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (http://www.nfculinary.org/) ( NFCI ) is located in the heart of one of the world’s biggest tourist destinations, Niagara Falls. Fully outfitted with modern labs and tools for students to use as they train in both classic and trendy techniques, NFCI is home to Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, and Hospitality programs. The college also operates Savor, a fine dining restaurant, and La Patisserie, a European-style pastry café, at NFCI .
