• Junior Staff Accountant

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on **Junior Staff** **Accountant** to join our client’s dynamic finance team in the Auburn, ME metro area.. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that offers the feel of a small business with the support of a large parent company.

     

    In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions, supporting financial processes, and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting standards. This position is key to maintaining accurate financials and contributing to continuous improvement across our finance operations.

     

    This is a great job with someone who has a degree but limited on the job experience. This is NOT a temporary job.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Maintain financial records/transactions.

    + Prepare P&L statements, general ledgers.

    + Track contents of prepaid and accrual accounts.

    + Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, AR/AP functions, and payroll processing.

    + Contribute to monthly close processes and financial analysis projects.

    + Support strategic sourcing and cost analysis initiatives.

    + Support the Senior Accounting Professionals while solving routine accounting issues and enhancing processes.

    Qualifications:

    + **Minimum of 1 year** of accounting experience(preferred), preferably in a **manufacturing environment.** .

    + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).

    + CPA Certification (or actively pursuing) **preferred** .

    + Strong experience with AP, AR, fixed assets, and reconciliations.

    + Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially **Excel** (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).

    + Experience with corporate financial reporting is a **plus** .

    **Pay Details:** $55,000.00 to $76,000.00 per year
