    Logistics Specialist

     

    Adecco is hiring immediately for **Logistics Specialists** with our client in **Southfield, MI** . Weekly pay starting at **$22.00 - $24.00 per hour** and competitive benefits with options such as medical, dental, vision, and MORE. This is a **Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM** position, with an **on-call weekend rotation** also required.

     

    As a **Logistics Specialist** , you’ll be responsible for providing logistics support including order entry, routing and dispatching, traffic coordination, and driver scheduling. You’ll manage computerized dispatch systems, monitor shipments, issue updates to customers, and ensure all loads are delivered safely, on time, and in good condition.

    What your day-to-day will look like:

    + Maintain and update computerized dispatch systems with orders, shipment details, and missing data

    + Notify customers and operations management about shipment statuses and escalate any issues

    + Monitor daily pickups and deliveries, confirming arrival times and load conditions

    + Take driver check calls and validate all data before marking loads delivered

    + Operate in compliance with QMS and regulatory requirements

    + Schedule and coordinate drivers and equipment for daily transportation needs

    + Secure truck capacity and align transportation plans with shipping schedules

    What you’ll need to excel:

    At a minimum:

    + 1–2 years of logistics experience

    + General knowledge of the transportation industry

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    It’d be great if you also have:

    + High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree is a plus

    + Experience writing reports and correspondence

    + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions
