• Senior Accountant - Grocery Retail

    A well-established and continuously growing grocery retail company is seeking a **Senior Accountant** to join its corporate accounting team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a stable organization with deep roots in the community and an exciting path forward.

     

    As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is a fully on-site position based in Carson, CA, offering hands-on involvement in a dynamic accounting environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Prepare and post journal entries; reconcile general ledger accounts (Cash, A/R, Accruals, Prepaids)

    + Maintain lease accounting schedules in compliance with ASC 842

    + Generate monthly internal financial reporting packages for operations and leadership

    + File sales and use tax returns and manage applicable accruals

    + Reconcile e-commerce transactions and ensure accurate A/R activity

    + Support quarterly reviews, year-end audits, and related reporting

    + Track license and permit renewals to ensure regulatory compliance

    + Assist with SOP documentation and support cross-training efforts

    What We’re Looking For

    + Strong technical accounting knowledge with working proficiency in US GAAP

    + Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

    + Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF Statements)

    + Experience with Oracle Fusion or other ERP systems a plus

    + Independent, proactive, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or public accounting experience a plus

    + 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, especially in month-end close processes

    **Pay Details:** $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
