• Mechanical Technician - Level 2 - 2nd shift

    As a Mechanical Technician - Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS) business unit. You will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment and systems. Your expertise in mechanical systems and troubleshooting will be essential in minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency. You will report directly to our Supervisor of ISC and you'll work out of our Pottsville, PA location. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and productivity of our manufacturing processes, contributing to the overall success of the ESS SBG.

     

    **Shift Hours:** Monday – Friday 3:00pm – 11:00pm with rotational coverage every 5 th weekend. Overtime hours are available

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Have good knowledge of requirements for each line when it comes to tear down and building the line back up.

    + Perform prescribed preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment.

    + Perform disassembly, overhaul and reassembly of plastics processing equipment.

    + Assist in identifying, investigating and recommending solutions for repeat equipment failures.

    + Continuously improve technical skills through formal, informal and hands-on training.

    + Actively participate in driving improved safety, productivity and equipment reliability.

    + Ensure all required parts, including hardware and electrical components, are ready and available.

    + Work overtime as needed to meet the production areas schedules.

    YOU MUST HAVE

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Minimum of 2 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience or related experience.

    WE VALUE

    + Demonstrated ability to read mechanical drawings and correctly apply this information to troubleshoot and repair or assemble equipment.

    + Demonstrated commitment to work safely and perform complete and safe repairs.

    + Demonstrated ability to use personal computers for spreadsheet and word processing applications.

    + Ability to work independently and employ sound troubleshooting techniques and make sound decisions with little supervision.

    + Working knowledge of installation, preventive care, and servicing of pumps, gearboxes, blowers, mechanical rotating equipment, belts, and bearings.

    + Welding and machining experience is a plus.

    + Ability to stand for up to 2 hours, walk ½ mile, climb and descend mild grades, climb and descend stairs and ladders, squat for up to 5 minutes, kneel for up to 15 minutes, frequently lift and carry up to 8 pounds, occasionally lift and carry up to 35 pounds, and work confidently from a ladder or scissors lift.
