    ASSOCIATE DEMAND PLANNER - EMERGING BRANDS - APPLEGATE (BEDMINSTER, NJ)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Under the supervision of the Senior Demand Planner and the general direction of the Associate Director of Integrated Planning, the Associate Demand Planner is responsible for generating, enriching, and evaluating a rolling 0-24 month rolling forecast for the Columbus Craft Meats business. This role involves creating and maintaining forecast models for assigned SKUs, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information from sales, marketing, retailer replenishment, and other sources (e.g., Nielsen or other syndicated consumer data) into the operational plan. The Associate Demand Planner will lead / support the demand pillar of our weekly SIOP operations in addition to our monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.

     

    + Generate Demand Forecasts:

    + Gather, analyze, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.

    + Execute statistical modeling software to develop robust demand forecasts.

    + Review and refine resulting statistical forecast models at item, customer, and site levels, as well as at aggregated levels.

    + Track and report forecast error metrics to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.

    + Apply advanced error analysis techniques to enhance forecasting accuracy and reliability.

    + Summarize and aggregate statistical forecasts to provide a comprehensive view of demand trends.

    + Review sales plans, customer finance Budget Updates or Latest Estimates and demand drivers:

    + Present, solicit, and assess feedback on the various forecasts from Sales Strategy, Brand, Finance.

    + Recommend adjustments for operational forecasts.

    + Review promotional plans with sales ensuring translation into systems for transparency.

    + Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating / leading weekly / monthly IBP workstreams and provide input to volume planning (Latest Estimates / annual operations planning:

    + Prepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussion.

    + Facilitate and manage demand planning/customer meetings.

    + Achieve consensus with the business side and the demand chain.

    + Maintain demand planning processes and linkage with the Center of Excellence (COE)

    + Evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems while educating cross functional partners.

    + Work with our Demand Planning COE to keep processes and best practices relevant.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required

    + Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Accounting or another analytical field preferred or equivalent experience.

    + 1 – 2 years’ experience in a demand planning role with S&OP accountability highly preferred.

    + Strong working knowledge of demand planning process with preference within Consumer-Packaged Goods Industry, particularly in a short shelf-life environment.

    + Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts. Knowledge of Oracle preferred.

    + Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills.

    + Strong written/verbal communication skills with good facilitation skills.

    + Ability to work autonomously across functions to meet deadlines and drive tasks to completion.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

    + Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States

    Preferred

    + Master's degree.

    + Demand Planning experience, O9, Oracle, SAP/APO, JDA, Demand Solutions, or other software related to demand planning.

    At Applegate, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $61,100 - $85,500 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
