    Job Title: HR GeneralistJob Description

     

    As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions including benefits administration, HRIS management, compliance, and employee support services. You will ensure all HR practices align with applicable laws and internal policies while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

    Responsibilities

    + Support HR functions such as benefits, HRIS, compliance, payroll, and employee support services.

    + Conduct onboarding and training activities, ensuring they comply with relevant laws and regulations.

    + Review employee time records, pay adjustments, and deductions for accuracy.

    + Administer employee benefits programs and coordinate open enrollment activities.

    + Respond to employee questions regarding payroll and benefits with clarity and professionalism.

    + Ensure payroll and benefit data accuracy in the HRIS and process biweekly payroll.

    + Reconcile payroll transactions to journal entries and the general ledger.

    + Coordinate with Finance to align payroll reporting and financial records.

    + Maintain accurate employee data within the HRIS and support system updates.

    + Analyze HR data for trends, compliance, and process improvement opportunities.

    + Prepare reports and dashboards to support leadership decision-making.

    + Ensure HR practices comply with employment laws and maintain required documentation.

    + Monitor updates to employment laws and recommend policy changes.

    + Support HR-related projects and track progress on timelines and deliverables.

    + Coordinate employee communications and support onboarding logistics.

    + Serve as a point of contact for general HR and office-related inquiries.

    + Prepare and maintain employment records related to hiring, transfers, and promotions.

    + Serve as the primary backup for OD and Compensation and Benefits functions during absences.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to collaborate with others and work effectively in a team environment.

    + Understanding and adherence to laws, regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to the job.

    + Ability to develop and implement plans, set priorities, and manage resources to achieve goals.

    + Analytical skills to analyze data, information, and situations to draw conclusions.

    + Proficiency in managing high volume work and multitasking.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.

    + Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and thoroughness.

    + Self-starter with process improvement mindset.

    + Ability to work independently and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.

    + Attention to detail and data privacy & confidentiality.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2 years of HR generalist experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    + Experience with HRIS and ADP Workforce Now.

    + Skills in manual writing, human resources, onboarding, data entry, administrative support, and HR policy.

    Work Environment

    You will work in an office environment as part of a small HR team, which includes an HR manager and coverage for the generalist role. The lab environment is quieter compared to the manufacturing floor, providing a focused atmosphere for completing tasks.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
