We are seeking a dedicated Benefits Specialist to manage the new hire onboarding process for benefits and provide comprehensive support to our team members. The ideal candidate will actively participate in team member orientation sessions, maintain HRIS records, and ensure accurate payroll deductions for benefits. This role is crucial in keeping team member records up to date and serving as the primary contact for benefits-related inquiries.
Responsibilities
+ Participate in New Team Member Orientation to provide benefit information.
+ Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately for payroll deduction.
+ Update team member records by processing benefits changes promptly.
+ Act as the primary contact for team members' benefits questions.
+ Liaise with benefits brokers and team members.
+ Resolve administrative problems with carrier representatives.
+ Communicate benefits information to current and terminating team members.
+ Assist with payment and reconciliation of invoices for the department.
+ Support PX leadership in obtaining reports and information for the renewal process of health, life, and retirement plans.
+ Coordinate and schedule open enrollment meetings.
+ Update benefits information on the intranet and in the HRIS as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with COBRA guidelines by processing notifications and paperwork.
+ Submit PX procedures for review/approval for all benefits processes.
+ Maintain filing and maintenance of personnel benefit-related records.
+ Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
+ Work with brokers on all required benefits filings, notifications, and reporting.
Essential Skills
+ Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
+ Intermediate knowledge of various payroll systems.
+ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
+ Ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
+ Self-motivated with the initiative to solve process issues and improve operational efficiencies.
+ Experience in benefit verification and insurance.
+ Experience in employee benefits and Paycom (HRIS).

+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
+ Junior college/two-year college training or HS Diploma required.
+ 2 to 5 years of related experience.
Work Environment
This position will be hybrid, allowing for a mix of remote and in-office work. The role requires long hours of computer use while sitting at a desk. The work environment supports a culture of equality and diversity, emphasizing positive organizational change.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
