    Job Title: Purchasing Assistant

    Job Description

    The Data Integrity and Purchasing Assistant is a vital member of the purchasing team, responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels. This role involves reviewing and approving data related to new parts, recommending process improvements, maintaining data integrity, and expediting critical purchase orders.

    Responsibilities

    + Review for accuracy and approve all data related to new parts entered into the database.

    + Identify and implement improvements in the data management process.

    + Maintain data integrity by correcting errors or inconsistencies in files.

    + Expedite critical purchase orders and components for production.

    + Assist with purchasing activities, including placing orders for non-stock supplies.

    + Review order confirmations for accuracy and enter confirmed delivery dates on purchase orders.

    + Obtain missing order confirmations within 2 business days.

    + Update inventory lead times and coverage groups.

    + Follow up with vendors regarding back-ordered lines and past-due orders.

    + Investigate pricing discrepancies and collaborate with the Pricing department.

    + Resolve receiving errors with vendors regarding incorrect shipments, discrepancies, and shortages.

    + Enter return purchase orders to resolve and track vendor issues.

    + Purchase tooling, supplies, and miscellaneous non-stock items as requested.

    + Respond to internal inquiries regarding order status.

    + Assist with special inventory projects and other duties as needed.

    + Create inventory reports and customer status reports using AX/DOMO and Excel.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-3 years of experience in logistics coordination and/or purchasing.

    + Strong Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables.

    + Proven experience with data integrity.

    + Previous experience with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365.

    + A good understanding of Materials Planning and Purchasing modules.

    + Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must be very tech-savvy and computer literate.

    + Experience with large ERP systems.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a stable manufacturing company with a very clean site.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
