Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified Project Safety Coordinator (PSC) to join our team and ensure the highest standards of safety throughout the construction process. The PSC will be an integral part of our project from the commencement of construction until the owner issues notice of completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction safety on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies tailored to the specific needs of the project.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Provide training and guidance to all personnel on safety protocols, including fall protection, scaffolding, excavation, confined space, crane/equipment operations, and electrical safety.
- Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of safety training and certifications for all team members.
- Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and health on-site.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of dedicated experience in building construction safety (COMMERCIAL), with at least five (5) years in construction safety process management.
- Proven practical knowledge and documented continuing education in key safety areas, including but not limited to fall protection, scaffolds, excavation, confined space, crane/equipment operations, and electrical safety (including OSHA certifications).
- Must possess a certificate of completion for OSHA 500 (Train the Trainer in Occupational Safety and Health for Construction Industry) or OSHA 502 (Update for the Construction Industry Outreach Trainer).
- Current certification in Emergency First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) within the last two (2) years.
