    Are you ready to launch your engineering career with purpose and impact? As a Distribution Design Engineer I, you’ll be at the forefront of designing the energy systems that power communities. From planning and engineering to field inspections and post-construction reviews, you’ll gain hands-on experience in both office and field environments—developing the infrastructure that keeps the lights on and the gas flowing.

     

    • What You’ll Do

    + Design and develop construction work packages for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems(4kV–138kV).

    + Conduct field inspections and return to the office to translate findings into actionable engineering designs.

    + Perform engineering calculations including pole loading, guying, voltage drop, and flicker analysis.

    + Create permitting documents and coordinate with local authorities (AHJs).

    + Support construction teams and conduct post-construction reviews to ensure quality and compliance.

    + Investigate outages and apply engineering principles to develop reliable, long-term solutions.

    • What You Bring

    + A BS degree n engineering or equivalent experience.

    + Less than 2 years of relevant experience—perfect for recent grads or early-career professionals.

    + Familiarity with GIS and WMS tools(e.g., GE Smallworld, Bentley Expert Designer).

    + A passion for solving technical problems and a desire to grow in a collaborative, safety-first environment.

    + Interest in working on a variety of projects: OH, UG, URD, Make Ready, and Street Lighting.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $29.81 - $29.81/hr.
