    Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

     

    The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design of new tooling, gauges, and fixtures to support new product releases and ensure quality control for mass production.

    Responsibilities

    + Design 3D models in CAD focusing on new product fixtures, gauges, and tooling for new product introductions (NPI's).

    + Construct and test fixtures, gauges, and tooling by building prototypes and testing their performance to ensure they meet requirements.

    + Assist with concept design, mechanical and manufacturing development, and product optimization strategies.

    + Lead in rolling out new manufacturing processes by validating manufacturability.

    + Create work instructions and process control documents to be used by production.

    + Create Bill of Materials (BOMs) to accurately plan and budget.

    + Collaborate regularly with cross-functional departments such as production, maintenance, and quality, as well as with customers.

    Essential Skills

    + Over three years of hands-on engineering experience in manufacturing environments.

    + Skilled in the design and development of precision gauges, custom fixtures, and specialized tooling.

    + Exposure to manufacturing capabilities including machining, fabrication, tooling, welding, brazing, heat-treating, or composites.

    + Demonstrated expertise in supporting new product introductions and implementing innovative manufacturing processes.

    + Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD modeling with advanced skills in SolidWorks.

    + Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an engineering-related discipline.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Aerospace industry experience supporting major OEMs of aircraft engines such as GE, Rolls Royce, or Pratt and Whitney.

    + Experience working with supporting departments such as welding, brazing, quality, and machining (Lathe).

    + EDM experience.

    Work Environment

    The role involves working in both office and machining manufacturing floor environments, with a 50/50 split. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, during the 1st Shift.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
