    Job Title: Piping Superintendent

    Job Description

    The Superintendent role is pivotal in planning, organizing, and directing projects of varying sizes and complexities. The successful candidate will adeptly manage multiple projects while meeting completion requirements and profitability objectives, all while nurturing and building strong customer relationships.

    Responsibilities

    + Jobsite Safety: Lead with safety at the forefront by integrating comprehensive safety planning into all pre-job and daily operations. Ensure consistent use of appropriate PPE and safety equipment, conduct regular safety meetings, and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

    + Drive Project Performance & Financial Goals: Take ownership of project productivity and financial outcomes, analyzing daily and weekly reports to identify areas needing improvement.

    + Maintain Project Schedule & Efficiency: Ensure all work aligns with the overall project timeline and proactively resolve productivity challenges.

    + Collaborate on Scheduling: Work closely with the project team to develop and maintain daily, two-week, and overall project schedules.

    + Understand Scope & Measure Productivity: Maintain a thorough understanding of the project scope and monitor daily productivity to ensure targets are met.

    + Multi-Project Oversight: Manage multiple job sites as needed and supervise all piping field activities, including subcontractors and in-house crews.

    + Client & Team Representation: Represent the company in project and strategy meetings, ensuring alignment with client expectations.

    + Develop Field Talent: Mentor and develop field labor and equipment operators, providing leadership to supervisory staff.

    + Subcontractor Management: Oversee all subcontractors on projects, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence.

    + Field Reporting & Documentation: Manage all required field-level reporting, including digital daily logs and production tracking.

    + Technology Integration: Implement and manage GPS systems on assigned projects.

    + Change Order & T&M Oversight: Identify, document, and manage Time & Materials (T&M) and Change Order work across all projects.

    Essential Skills

    + Construction management experience with a focus on piping, specifically on water, sewer, and force main projects.

    + Bilingual in Spanish.

    + Experience in storm water management, earthworks, and subcontractor management.

    + Proficient in pipe fitting and construction supervision.

    + Strong safety awareness and supervisory skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Possesses the leadership skills to lead large-scale projects.

    + Ability to read and understand civil, structural, and architectural plans.

    + Proficient in PC software and systems such as HCSS, Microsoft Office, PDF, and Microsoft Project.

    + Strong organizational, management, oral, and written communication skills.

    + Certifications: OSHA 30 hour, HazMat (OSHA 40 worker and 8-hour supervisor), CPR/AED and Basic First Aid.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $60.00/hr.
