The Fulfilment Pharmacy Technician works closely with the pharmacist to ensure the health and safety of patients. The role supports the pharmacist by locating, dispensing, packing, labeling, and shipping orders in a timely manner, following all applicable laws and regulations. This position also provides friendly customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
+ Function within the limits of the law, adhering to HIPAA regulations, and company policies and procedures.
+ Clean and maintain equipment following daily, monthly, and annual procedures.
+ Wear clean scrubs and appropriate safety equipment, with clean scrubs provided daily.
+ Maintain a safe, clean workplace and understand emergency/disaster plans.
+ Receive and verify the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions.
+ Correctly read prescriptions, interpret physician intent, and process prescriptions in The Compounder system under Pharmacist supervision.
+ Maintain ingredient, equipment, and batched product inventories at acceptable levels.
+ Stock the fulfillment area with finished products and necessary materials.
+ Prepare the order for pharmacist review prior to shipment.
+ Sort, stock, and label compounded medications.
+ Conduct oneself in a manner upholding the moral and ethical practice of the pharmacy.
+ Ensure medications are properly stored.
+ Provide prompt, friendly service to clients and handle patient complaints efficiently.
+ Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Pharmacist Manager Fulfillment Division.
+ Support pharmacist in the daily operations of the fulfillment area.
+ Perform administrative tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Retail experience in stocking, labeling, and sorting compounded medications.
+ Ability to work and communicate well with pharmacist, peers, and superiors.
+ Excellent listening and communication skills.
+ Detail-oriented with a commitment to make few mistakes.
+ Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Demonstrate teamwork and initiative.
+ Ability to understand Microsoft Office software, QS-1, Compounder.
+ Ability to operate basic office equipment such as copier, fax, and telephone.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment
The role operates on a part-time schedule from 7:00am to 3:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The pharmacy is undergoing an expansion project with opportunities for internal growth. Currently, there are 40 employees, with plans to grow to 100 employees. Full training is provided alongside pharmacists. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
