Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent with over five years of experience in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Procore and Sage CRE 300 (Timberline), and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications. The role involves managing projects ranging from 2 to 10 million dollars, providing leadership, and fostering effective working relationships within the team.

Responsibilities

+ Provide leadership and establish effective and harmonious working relationships with on-site staff to promote positive project morale.

+ Thoroughly understand each subcontract, contract drawings, specifications, and addenda, assisting the Project Manager in developing on-site procedures.

+ Examine contract drawings for design deficiencies, impractical details, and possible code violations, bringing these issues to the Project Manager's attention for review with the Architect.

+ Collaborate with the Project Manager to keep schedules updated and ensure the job meets required dates.

+ Plan and review the Construction Program with the Project Manager, including quality control procedures, safety and security practices, field office location and layout, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment, and manpower.

+ Coordinate, direct, monitor, and inspect the activities of the Subcontractors and Suppliers, with the Assistant Superintendent.

+ Verify that each Subcontractor has completed contractual requirements before starting work at the jobsite.

+ Schedule and attend weekly coordination meetings with the Project Manager and subcontractors.

+ Maintain good relations and communications with all involved in the project, including the public.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of experience in commercial construction as a superintendent.

+ Knowledge of Procore and Sage CRE 300 (Timberline).

+ Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

+ Experience with managing projects ranging from 2 to 10 million dollars.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Construction management and supervision.

+ General contractor and subcontractor management.

+ Proficiency in project management and scheduling.

+ OSHA 30 certification.

+ Experience with construction safety and RFIs.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site at various jobs within the greater Philadelphia area. The company offers a small, family-oriented atmosphere with a clear path to ownership for motivated individuals.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
