    Job Title: Commercial HVAC Technician

     

    We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician with a strong understanding of HVAC principles, practices, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will perform routine maintenance tasks, diagnose and troubleshoot complex residential HVAC issues, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. You will work independently, managing your time efficiently to meet productivity and customer satisfaction goals. Staying up-to-date with industry developments through training sessions and seminars is also essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, inspecting, and testing residential HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.

    + Diagnose and troubleshoot complex residential HVAC issues, providing effective solutions and recommendations to customers.

    + Provide exceptional customer service, communicating clearly and professionally with customers to understand their needs and concerns.

    + Work independently, managing your time efficiently to meet productivity and customer satisfaction goals.

    + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to company safety protocols and industry standards.

    + Stay up-to-date with industry developments, attending training sessions and seminars to enhance your skills and knowledge.

    Essential Skills

    + HVAC technician license or certification preferred.

    + CFC Universal, EPA, NATE certification.

    + Experience in residential HVAC maintenance and repairs to various HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of furnace components: burners, heat exchangers, igniters, gas valves, and blower motors.

    + Understanding of heat pump components: reversing valves, defrost controls, and compressors.

    + Experience with boilers: burners, heat exchangers, pumps, and controls.

    + Familiarity with air conditioning components: compressors, condenser coils, evaporator coils, and expansion valves.

    + Experience with evaporative cooler components: pads, pumps, and motors.

    + Knowledge of air handling components: motors, wheels, housings, evaporator, condenser, and heating coils.

    + Familiarity with ductwork components: grilles, registers, and diffusers.

    + Understanding of electrical components: thermostats, circuit boards, relays, compressor motors, fan motors, blower motors, and transformers.

    + Experience with refrigeration components: R-22, R-410A, and other refrigerants, capillary tubes, restrictor tubes, metering devices, and refrigerant storage tanks.

    + Ability to perform common repairs such as replacing faulty components, leak repairs, clogged coil cleaning, thermostat calibration, clearing drainage issues, troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues, refrigerant charging, ductwork modifications, and system upgrades.

    The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
