Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic, where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on a rotating shift schedule, including 1st and 2nd shifts, with potential overtime during weekends. As part of a unionized workforce, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of GMPs and housekeeping practices.

Responsibilities

+ Operate, monitor, and perform minor troubleshooting of equipment to achieve optimum performance.

+ Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to processing and packaging equipment.

+ Perform maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance tasks using schematics and blueprints.

+ Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

+ Ensure excellent housekeeping practices and maintain GMP standards.

Essential Skills

+ High School Diploma or GED.

+ Five years of maintenance/millwright experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

+ Technical/Trade School graduate or apprenticeship program.

+ Knowledge and skills equivalent to two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.

+ Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.

+ Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics systems.

Work Environment

Work in a plant environment where you will navigate the production floor, which may have varying temperatures and dust particulates. The role requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, and crouching to service, troubleshoot, and clean equipment. You will also push, lift, and pull raw materials weighing up to 60 lbs. Be prepared for exposure to high noise levels, dust, heat, cold, and fumes from chemicals used in flavorings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $66560.00/yr.
