    Job Title: Bulldozer and Excavator Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking experienced Bulldozer and Excavator Operators to perform mass grading on a new solar farm. The role involves land clearing, building pads, excavating basins, and more. Any experience with pipe or underground utilities is a plus.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform mass grading on solar farm sites.

    + Clear land and build pads.

    + Excavate basins and other necessary structures.

    + Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and articulated dump trucks.

    + Work in coordination with on-site laborers.

    + Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience operating excavators or bulldozers (both preferred).

    + 3+ years of experience using an articulated dump truck.

    + Proficiency in fine grading with dozers and excavators.

    + Possession of 3rd party certifications for bulldozer/excavator or articulated haul truck.

    + Significant overtime availability and ability to work weekends.

    + Reliability and strong attendance record.

    + Safety awareness and knowledge, such as OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in solar construction is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    Work on multiple civil closeout sites in a new construction environment. The job involves exposure to elements, including hot and humid summer conditions. Work weeks initially consist of 50 hours, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM with an hour lunch break and short morning and afternoon breaks. Proper PPE gear is required, including hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, reflective vest, and gloves. Safety is prioritized, and individuals must adhere to strict safety protocols.

    This is a Contract position based out of Saluda, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
