    Job Title: Low Voltage Technician Level 2 and 3

    Job Description

    We are seeking experienced low voltage technicians to join our team for an exciting project at Microsoft Data Centers in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This opportunity is perfect for those looking to advance their careers in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Terminate jacks and pull cables.

    + Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cables.

    + Build out MDF and IDF closets including racks, patch panels, wire management systems, and network hardware.

    + Install cordage type cabling in active data centers.

    + Set up network cabling.

    + Pull, dress, and tail cables.

    + Read blueprints and execute plans.

    + Pull jetlines into closets.

    + Receive a subset of scope, review and understand necessary steps for pre-planning the personnel, materials, and tools.

    + Build closets by installing free-standing server racks and cabinets.

    + Place and install pathways for cabling.

    + Accurately pre-label copper and fiber cordage.

    + Pull and dress copper and fiber indoor and OSP cables.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-4 years of experience as a commercial low voltage technician.

    + Proficiency in cabling, low voltage installation, and commercial electrical work.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Telecom cabling expertise.

    + Wyoming Low Voltage License.

    + OSHA 10 certification.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Level 2: 1 year of commercial low voltage installation experience, must own tools, valid driver's license.

    + Level 3: 2-4 years of commercial low voltage installation experience, must own tools, valid driver's license.

    Work Environment

     

    Work Monday to Friday, with 10-hour shifts starting at 6 AM. Collaborate with a team of 2-20 members depending on tasks assigned by Microsoft.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00/hr.
