    Job Description

    As an Assembly Associate in the Plant 4 Production department, you will be responsible for completing assembly tasks according to process specifications and resident planning, utilizing blueprints for sheet metal parts.

    Responsibilities

    + Verify tooling is correct for assembly tasks.

    + Load details into tools and drill bars for precise drilling.

    + Remove drill bars and spar assemblies post-drilling.

    + Ream close tolerance holes and inspect them meticulously.

    + Clean and prepare assemblies for sealing techniques.

    + Apply appropriate sealants and cleco the sealed assemblies.

    + Install fasteners and ensure proper cleaning of excess sealant.

    + Call for final inspection and complete paperwork per work order.

    + Seek guidance and direction as necessary for performance duties.

    + Maintain communication with supervisors regarding work status.

    + Report to work on time and maintain neat and orderly workspaces.

    + Respect confidentiality of company, customer, and personnel information.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to read blueprints and follow process specifications.

    + Proficiency in sealing techniques and use of measurement instruments.

    + Experience with rivet and sheet metal assembly.

    + Competency in close tolerance reaming and inspection.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + Completion of a blueprint reading class is necessary.

    + 1 year of experience in rivet and sheet metal assembly preferred.

    + Manufacturing experience, particularly in aviation, is preferred.

    + Experience in programs like Cessna and Honda is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an air-conditioned and heated plant, requiring safety goggles, anti-vibration and cut-resistant gloves, and hearing protection. The role involves standing, pinching, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching, and using vibrating tools for extended periods.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
