    Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated warehouse clerk to join our shipping and receiving department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving shipments, matching items to order sheets, counting inventory, operating a forklift, and shipping products. This role involves physical activities such as bending, lifting, stooping, and extensive walking, as well as delivering parts to various departments.

    Responsibilities

    + Receive and verify shipments against order sheets.

    + Count and track inventory accurately.

    + Operate a forklift safely to move materials.

    + Prepare and ship products according to scheduled timelines.

    + Deliver parts to all departments within the facility.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 year of forklift operating experience.

    + 1 year of warehouse inventory tracking experience.

    + 1 year of shipping and receiving experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Forklift certification.

    + Data entry skills for inventory control.

    + 1 year of cycle count experience.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a large industrial building with ongoing production. The shipping and receiving department is separate but involves frequent movement to the production floor for deliveries. The role requires outdoor activities to accept and count shipments in all weather conditions. Candidates will operate a forklift in a busy and loud manufacturing setting. The facility is not temperature controlled, resulting in hot conditions during summer and cold conditions in winter.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hockley, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
