Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive warehouse clerk to join our shipping and receiving department. This position involves receiving shipments, matching items to order sheets, counting inventory, operating a forklift, and shipping products. The role requires physical activities such as bending, lifting, stooping, and extensive walking. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering parts to various departments. Experience using ERP systems.

Responsibilities

+ Receive and process incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy with order sheets.

+ Count and track inventory in the warehouse.

+ Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

+ Prepare products for shipping to clients.

+ Deliver parts to all departments as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 2 year experience in operating a forklift.

+ Must have experience in warehouse inventory tracking.

+ Must have experience in shipping and receiving operations.

+ Forklift certification is required.

+ Experience in data entry and material handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Cycle count experience.

+ Proficiency in warehouse inventory control and operations.

+ ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc)

+ Computer literate.

Work Environment

The position is based in a large industrial building with ongoing production activities. The shipping and receiving department operates separately from the main production floor, but responsibilities will include delivering items across the production area. Work will also involve outdoor tasks, requiring adaptability to various weather conditions. The environment is loud, busy, and not temperature-controlled, which means it can be hot in summer and cold in winter.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hockley, Texas 77447.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
