    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled forklift operator who will spend 70% of their time operating a sit-down forklift. The role requires the ability to lift at least 50 lbs and involves loading materials into trucks and securing products with straps.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate a sit-down forklift for the majority of the workday.

    + Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

    + Load materials into trucks and secure them with straps.

    + Put away building products in designated areas.

    + Replenish product stock as needed.

    + Empty containers of products efficiently.

    + Perform typical pick and pack duties.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in operating a sit-down forklift.

    + Material handling experience.

    + Ability to lift and manage loads of at least 50 lbs.

    + Experience in loading and unloading materials.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 3-5 years of experience in sit-down forklift operation.

    + Ability to perform physical tasks related to material handling.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a spacious 250,000 sq. foot facility located in Aberdeen, Maryland. Employees can choose between the 1st shift, which runs from 5:30 am to 2:45 pm, or the 2nd shift from 12:00 pm to 8:45 pm. The facility is equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to ensure efficient workflow.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perryman, Maryland.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.50/hr.
