Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and contribute to the upkeep and repair of our plant equipment, buildings, and grounds. This role involves mechanical and electrical duties, with a focus on troubleshooting hydraulics and ensuring the smooth operation of our 60 robots. You will work on pumps, valves, motors, and various electrical systems, providing essential maintenance and repair services.
Responsibilities
+ Repair and maintain all plant equipment, buildings, and grounds.
+ Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, focusing on hydraulics.
+ Work with pumps, valves, relief valves, hoses, cylinders, conveyor belts, chains, and motors.
+ Troubleshoot VFDs, transformers, 480v, 240 single phase, and 3 phase systems.
+ Install 3 phase systems and run conduit and wire.
+ Listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
+ Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
+ Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
+ Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
+ Repair or replace defective parts and lubricate and clean machines.
+ Start machines to test their performance.
+ Repair electrical equipment and control systems.
+ Maintain records in compliance with applicable quality procedures.
+ Conduct plant-wide safety checks on equipment.
+ Complete maintenance request forms and preventive maintenance records.
+ Follow safety standards and procedures according to OSHA and ANSI regulations.
+ Complete requisitions for maintenance items needed to repair equipment.
+ Ensure timely completion of all maintenance repairs to machinery and equipment.
+ Repair and perform preventive maintenance on all auxiliary equipment and tag with completed tag.
+ Perform lockout/tagout procedures.
+ Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480v.
Essential Skills
+ 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
+ Experience with injection molding.
+ GED or high school diploma.
+ Ability to wear steel-toed boots.
+ 480V and 3 phase electrical experience.
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
+ Experience running conduit and wire.
+ Experience troubleshooting VFDs, transformers, 480v, 240 single phase, and 3 phase systems.
+ Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
+ Ability to troubleshoot pumps, valves, relief valves, hoses, cylinders, conveyor belts, chains, and motors.
+ Experience with gears and motors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Fabrication skills.
+ PLC troubleshooting experience.
Work Environment
Work in a non-climate controlled environment with shifts from Monday through Friday, including current Saturday shifts. The second shift operates from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and employees should be comfortable working weekends and overtime. The second shift offers a shift differential.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
