    Job Description

    An industrial and marine air conditioning and refrigeration repair facility located in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a talented Marine HVAC Technician. The role requires experience in marine and/or commercial HVAC systems. **_For quicker response email resume to ([email protected])_**

    Responsibilities

    + Install, retrofit, and repair marine air conditioning and refrigeration systems, primarily on Navy ships, without deploying on the vessels.

    + Perform installations, repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of marine HVAC and refrigeration systems.

    + Utilize hand tools, blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.

    + Use power tools effectively.

    + Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products while performing preventative maintenance, surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.

    + Service warranty and non-warranty systems.

    + Prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining boat layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.

    + Maintain tools and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.

    + Document work by completing paperwork for each job and maintaining files and reports.

    + Provide technical support to customers.

    Work Environment

     

    Work will be performed at the local shop in Jacksonville, the Naval base at Mayport, and the BAE Drydock off Heckscher Drive. Occasionally, travel to Charleston, SC to work at Detyens Shipyard is required, with lodging and per diem for food and incidentals covered by the company. Travel assignments do not exceed two weeks at a time.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
