Roles and Responsibilities:

Pipefitter

+ The Pipefitter will perform all Pipefitter duties involved in inspecting, testing, repairing and troubleshooting all classes of NJTRO Equipment, HVAC heavy equipment/machines

Work Location

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

+ Candidates must be familiar with pipefitting practices and standards, measuring devices, demonstration of welding and silver soldering techniques.

+ Must possess good communication skills and be able to work as a team member and independently.

+ High School Diploma or GED is required.

+ Trade school training and professional licenses preferred.

This position is deemed safety sensitive per the Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations.

The DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of marijuana for any reason . It is unacceptable for any safety-sensitive employee subject to drug testing under DOT regulations to use recreational or medical marijuana. The prohibition includes any derivative of marijuana such as CBD oils, teas, etc. T he use of recreational and medical marijuana is a violation of NJ TRANSIT’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy for safety-sensitive employees.
