    **Position Summary:** The Human Resources Intern provides support to the Human Resources department and must also provide consistent “Unsurpassed Service” to all internal and external Guests, focusing on communication and relationship building.

    In this Role:

    + Perform customer service functions by answering Team Member requests and questions.

    + Execute data entry into HRIS, tracking and reporting spreadsheets with the support of the recruiting team.

    + Assist Human Resource Representatives with review of new hire paperwork. Ensure accurate completion of all forms and obtain the necessary identification cards for all new hires.

    + Assist with Gun Lake Casino Resort’s recognition programs for entire property and department-specific programs.

    + Coordinate scheduling for license applications, drug testing, and uniform fittings.

    + Complete timely and accurate data entry into ADP HRIS database records for new hires, transfers, terminations, and other status changes.

    + Follows up with the related clerical aspects of employment, such as completing health, employment, and insurance forms, notifying the department of the starting date and the requisition number for completing the hiring process.

    + Scan and file papers and documents into appropriate electronic files.

    + Assist the Human Resources Department with various research projects and/or special projects.

    Essential Qualifications:

    + Must be 18+ years of age.

    + High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

    + Some College, must be a junior or senior enrolled in a bachelor's program, preferably toward a business designation, Human Resources major preferred.

    + Proven ability to communicate effectively with guests, Team Members, and management in both written and verbal form.

    + Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    + Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.

    + Must be flexible, able to handle multiple tasks, and establish priorities effectively.

    + Must be able to utilize critical-thinking skills in order to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.

    + Ability to sit for the duration of shift.

    + Ability to access all properties and areas.

    + Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.

    + Ability to stoop, crouch and kneel.

    Work Conditions:

    Work is typically in an office environment; however, additional work areas may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Tasks may be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and guests.
