I. Job Summary
Manage and support WMRE with management of all WMRE projects. Manage team of project managers to ensure project success (on-time and underbudget) Leads WMRE project engineering and management team. Responsible for the timely, safe and successful engineering and construction of new WMRE facilities and supports upgrades for WMRE Operations. Supports all aspects of new project development working closely with the business directors (RNG, Power, Front End Development and Project Controls as well as General Business Development and Financial Modeling). Responsible for assisting with technology assessments and legacy project support. Also holds responsibility for financial tracking and project budgets.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Directs the management and hiring of all WMRE Project Engineering/Management Personnel, reviews organizational requirements and develops appropriate staffing to optimize and support departmental needs.
+ Responsible for working with Front End Development, Project Controls, Operations teams to develop and manage project budgets.
+ Directs the development of, and participates in reviewing and approving the short and long-range operating objectives and plans.
+ Reviews and evaluates WMRE Project and Engineering performance on a continuing basis and establishes proper measures of performance.
+ Directs process improvement efforts and creates proper key performance indicators to track improvement efforts.
+ Acts as a liaison, where necessary, for market area relationships and establishing proper communication with area teams.
+ Complies with and ensures adherence to WM’s safety standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient project management.
+ Works with all regulatory groups to assess permitting requirements and where possible, expedite all aspects of permitting.
+ Must be able to manage and inspire a variety of strong personalities and relationships, while preserving or improving the culture.
+ Direct supervision of full-time employees and managers of managers, including: various levels of project managers, project engineers and support personnel.
+ Must be able to maintain and cultivate WM/WMRE culture and values.
III. Qualifications
Must live and work in U.S. (Houston area strongly preferred)
A. Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of Required or
+ High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 5 years relevant experience Required
+ 10+ years of relevant work experience Required and
+ 5 years managing multiple projects. Required

+ This job operates in a mix between an office environment and plant/field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. [or Canada as appropriate] is $155,085 - $240,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
