Provide mechanical maintenance support to facilities & utilities for Rahway, New Jersey pharmaceutical research campus and headquarters for our Company's Support day-to-day preventative and corrective maintenance for assigned area(s) and may include technical input to mechanical utilities including HVAC, steam, water and/or other utilities.

Qualification/Requirements:

Experienced HVAC technician with working knowledge of mechanical operations and able to maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot plant equipment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of heating and air conditioning systems, including rooftop equipment.

+ Repair, replace, or calibrate controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring associated with HVAC systems.

+ Perform preventive maintenance and understand procedures for all HVAC equipment, including changing of filters and cleaning condensers and coils.

+ Ability to understand building/equipment management controls to be able to start, stop, seek status, or change conditions on HVAC systems.

+ Interpret equipment blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.

+ Utilizes diagnostic equipment to assess malfunctions and determine needed repairs.

+ Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC units, chillers, and associated equipment.

+ Knowledges of program control wires and other related electrical equipment.

+ Wire and connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and humidity controls according to wiring schematics.

+ Work cooperatively with others and independently with little direction.

+ Maintain routine records and prepare reports.

Education Minimum Requirement:

+ High School Graduate or equivalent, HVAC license or technician certification

Required Experience and Skills:

4 years apprenticeship or 5 years of experience as an industrial HVAC mechanic with increasing levels of responsibility. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a team is a must. Applicants must be familiar with all phases of industrial maintenance including:

+ Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures to assemble, dismantle, and overhaul equipment using hand and power tools.

+ Knowledge of HVAC systems

+ Knowledge of building management systems

+ Knowledge of electrical circuits & wiring and operating principles of motors

Preferred Experience and Skills:

+ HVAC shop and machine tool operation experience.

+ Desire to learn and support in a dynamic, growth environment.

+ Familiarity with Building Automation Control Systems and Computerized Management Maintenance Systems.

+ Familiarity with cGMP for pharmaceutical manufacturing desired.
