Fiber Construction Manager
Fleet Vehicle Provided – Utility truck included; vehicle can be taken home daily
Work Split: 50% Office / 50% Field
Expenses Covered: Cell phone and internet
Position Summary
We are seeking a Fiber Construction Manager with experience in both Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) cable construction, including aerial and underground facilities. This role requires strong knowledge of permitting, pole/conduit licensing, and the ability to manage multiple contractors and projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with Fiber Engineers and Construction Supervisors
+ Manage external vendors to ensure timely, budget-conscious project completion
+ Conduct constructability reviews and develop construction bid packages
+ Oversee permitting and construction plan development
+ Track and manage delivery of third-party materials
+ Supervise site construction, ensuring adherence to schedule and quality standards
+ Coordinate with local/state agencies for permitting and licensing
+ Attend internal and client status meetings
+ Maintain accurate project tracking and documentation
+ Act as a safety and quality assurance representative on-site
+ Negotiate costs and manage project budgets
+ Resolve on-site issues and escalate when necessary
+ Ensure compliance with company construction standards and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent (2-year technical degree preferred)
+ Valid driver’s license
+ 1–3 years of construction experience
+ 1–3 years of telecommunications experience
+ 3+ years of supervisory experience in contractor construction
+ Knowledge of OSP construction techniques (aerial and underground)
+ Familiarity with testing equipment (e.g., OTDR, PIM, RF Sweep) is a plus
+ Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards
Preferred Skills
+ BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
+ Strong project management and organizational skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
+ PMP certification is a plus
+ CRM experience is a bonus
+ Commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49.00 - $49.00/hr.
