Job Description
The Iowa Veterans Home is seeking a professional Registered Nurse with long term care leadership experience to function as a high level nursing leader for the Ulery building.
TheNursing Services Directorsupervises the nursing leaders, who are responsible for the 24/7 supervision of all nursing staff in the Ulery building, while participating in planning, development and implementation of all staffing and resident care programs under the direction of the Administrator of Nursing. The NSD works the core hours of 8:00 A.M to 4:30 P.M. with 24 hour accountability and flexible scheduling to manage the needs of the Ulery building and provide leadership to their team.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and experience equal to three years of full-time supervisory/management nursing experience;
OR
graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Nursing and experience equal to one year of full-time supervisory/management nursing experience;
OR
an equivalent combination of the required education and experience, substituting one year of experience for thirty semester hours or equivalent of education; no substitution for three years of full-time supervisory/management nursing experience.
