Part-time Inpatient Social Worker
Named by The Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for the last three years, our community-based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization seeks a Part-time Inpatient Social Worker to join its expanding inpatient palliative care team based at BMC Brighton.
Job Responsibilities :
The Inpatient Social Worker will work in close collaboration with our Palliative Care Nurse Practitioners, BMC Brighton providers, case managers, and staff to conduct family meetings, facilitate goals of care conversations, and provide psychosocial support to palliative care patients and families, as well as assist with marketing for Good Shepherd Community Hospice at the hospital and assist with discharges home to hospice and/or transitions to hospice at an inpatient level of care.
Schedule and Weekly Hours:
This is a 20-hour per week position, 4-5 days per week. Afternoons are required, but there may be some flexibility with the exact schedule.
Education, Skills and Experience :
+ Strong communication skills demonstrated ability to collaborate with professional teams required.
+ Master’s in Social Work and LCSW required, LICSW preferred.
+ Experience in medical social work required, at least one year in hospice and/or palliative care social work experience preferred.
+ Candidates with proficiency in languages other than English are encouraged to apply.

Pay Range:
$32,500-$42,500 : This number reflects an average starting range for this position. Individual pay is determined through a variety of factors, including experience, education, certifications, and skills and can exceed the starting range.
