Shop Technician/Warehouse supportisprimarilyresponsible for performing daily activitiespertaining toshop set-up and repair andwarehouse support. This may include shop repairs.
**Primary Responsibilities** **:** The Shop Technician is responsible for cleanliness and organization of shop and warehouse. Set-up and prepare new and used equipment for customer placement. This includes, but is not limited to:
+ Install all necessary supplies and test mechanical sections (from feed to exit) If applicable, install all options listed on order documentation Perform device calibrations
+ Test device connectivity. This includes printing, faxing, and scanning (if applicable) Perform device upgrades and reloads, as needed Import baseline clone files (if applicable)
+ Test all device functions Review detailed documentation of all serialized and non-serialized items associated with each machine before releasing it for delivery Submit accurate, properly filled documentation/paperwork
+ Troubleshoot, assess and repair of inventory equipment as needed Refurbish equipment to meet standards
+ Provide technical support to rest of peers on Team Troubleshoot machines brought in from the field, as requested Order parts through system, as needed If requested, obtain and distribute parts and supplies for after hours and weekend set-up as scheduled and provide detailed documentation of backup for inventory control Setup/test mailing equipment, if requested
+ Maintain an accurate inventory of parts/supplies Perform routine check and balances of service calls and parts
+ Maintain clean and orderly shop environment Coordinate with Manager when technician assistance is required for customer orders, month end needs, specific machines, etc.
+ Available to support client deliveries using company truck.
+ May require overnight stays. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet customer demands
+ Skills and Qualifications:
+ Previous experience and/or training working on copiers and printers is desirable.
+ Experience with Xerox equipment and desktop printers is a plus.
+ Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl throughout the course of the work day
+ Must regularly be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, frequently lift and occasionally push and/or move up to 100 pounds.
+ May be required to work outside normal business hours including evenings and/or weekends.
+ Exposure to normal shop/warehouse working environment.
+ Ability to use a variety of office equipment, such as computer/laptop, phone, printer, fax, copier, etc.
+ Strong customer service and communication skills.
+ Strong attention to detail, quality focus, strong planning and organization skills
+ Good computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
+ Strong electro/mechanical skills or equivalent experience.
+ Strong critical thinking skills to assist in problem solving.
+ Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting with peers and colleagues in a cross functional setting
