Job Description
Research or develop analytical tools to address issues such as portfolio construction or optimization, performance measurement, attribution, profit and loss measurement, or pricing models.
Conceptualize valuation strategies, develop and continuously improve upon mathematical models, and help translate algorithms into code.
Back test and implement trading models and signals in an active, live trading environment.
Develop core analytical capabilities or model libraries, using advanced statistical, quantitative techniques.
Apply mathematical or statistical techniques to address practical issues in finance, such as derivative valuation, securities trading, risk management, or financial market regulation.
Part of a team of specialized analysts and developers and be responsible for growing the team, maturing processes, adhering to service level objectives and agreements, project management activities, and resource management across multiple geographic locations.
Work with the team to draw the best performance out of each team member and push them to grow and stretch their skills and abilities.
Provide technical leadership in a variety of technologies, including Java, Web services and BPM tools.
Organize production support activities across multiple time zones.
Work with our business partners to understand requirements, design IT solutions and ensure they meet the business needs balanced with a pragmatic approach to design.
Advise the team on high performance, maintainability, and quality standards for software.
Influence the prioritization of business unit technology projects, optimal project structure and project administration to ensure strategic business objectives are met and risk is managed.
Focus on workforce management to accurately capture IT resource capacity involving resources (internal and/or external), processes and practices.
Develop and maintain development methodology and ensures all team members understand their responsibilities in this process.
**REQUIREMENTS:** Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related.
Eight (8) years in any occupation with research experience in quantitative research.
Eight (8) years in any occupation with research experience in quantitative research must include (experience and skills can be gained during University education): Management or leadership experience within the Financial Services industry; Application Development or infrastructure technologies such as AWS or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as applicable to the role; Experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Java or Python; Relational Database and NoSQL database; Experience with computational physics modeling, stochastic differential modeling including Black-Scholes models, machine learning modeling; Experience with probability and statistics such as machine learning, time-series analysis, pattern recognition, NLP; Experience in probability and statistics within a data driven research environment; Experience performing an in-depth research project, examining real-world data, and distributed computing and analytical packages such as Matlab; and Experience performing data analysis in Scikit-Learn and TensorFlow.
**ALTERNATE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:** Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related and six (6) years in any occupation with research experience in quantitative research. Must have skills listed above.
**SALARY** : $170,000 - $171,000 per year
