Primary focus of the Bookkeeper Role with TMO Corporate Finance is Accounts Payable. The Bookkeeper will have a strong emphasis on process improvement and supporting workflowautomation. The goal is to free up capacity and in time, provide opportunities to deepen experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and reconciliation.
Responsibilities
1. Full Cycle Accounts Payable:
+ Prepare and process check requests; initiate and prepare check runs (daily/weekly)
+ Assist with implementation of Bulk ACH payment and other technology enhancements
+ Receive, review for back up, gl coding and proper approvals
+ Review and audit expense reports
+ Maintain Vendor records and reconcile vendor inquiries
+ Process checks, ACH’s, record transfers, and credit card payments
+ Initiate wire payment requests; record electronic payment; distribute support to Accounts Receivable for Sister Company transfers.
+ Match invoices to checks with remittances and responsible for mailing
+ Paid bill filing
+ Resolve check issues on banking platform and in Real Page.
2. Treasury:
+ Prepare funding requests for negative accounts
+ Incoming wires: Print report from banking platform and prepare folder for CFO/Controller to code transaction. Obtain support for transaction.
+ Verify wire instructions; provide wire instructions as requested.
+ Set up employees for ACH reimbursement of expense reports
+ Assist with resolving bank reconciliation issues
+ Assist with opening new bank accounts
Qualifications
Required Experience:2 to 3 years current and related accounts payable, accounting or bookkeeping experience required
Required Education/Training:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ 2-3 years recent experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting Environment
Required Skills and Abilities:
+ Excellent Time Management skills; must be well organized
+ Strong accounting aptitude
+ Ability to work in multiple systems and platforms
+ Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office & Google Chrome environment
+ Ability to problem solve and work independently
+ Ability to multitask and handle high volume
+ Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong work ethic
+ Effective team player; must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively
Salary Range Information
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the targeted base salary for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
