    CTG is seeking to fill a Circuit Design Engineering Professional Generalist opening for our client in Rochester, MN.

     

    **Location:** Rochester, MN

    **Duration:** 12 months

    Duties:

    + Develop circuit library elements for integration into various design projects

    + Utilize design environment tools to support circuit modeling, simulation, and verification processes

    + Contribute to circuit development by applying advanced simulation modeling techniques

    + Support VLSI circuit verification efforts through modeling, debugging, and design validation

    + Assist with VLSI layout and floor planning processes, collaborating with layout engineers to ensure design intent is preserved

    + Participate in cross-functional team meetings, contributing to design decisions and integration efforts

    + Maintain accurate documentation of design specifications, simulation results, and test reports

    + Keep abreast of developments in integrated circuit design methodologies and tools to support ongoing improvements in design processes

    Skills:

    + Foundational understanding of hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL)

    + Working knowledge of analog and digital circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, Spectre)

    + Familiarity with VLSI design and verification methodologies

    + Ability to perform simulation modeling and analyze performance trade-offs

    + Understanding of IC layout techniques and floor planning constraints

    + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

    Experience:

    + No prior experience required for developing circuit library elements

    + Significant job experience applying design environment tools in circuit design and simulation workflows

    + Significant job experience in integrated circuit design across analog, digital, or mixed-signal domains

    + Some job experience in applying advanced simulation modeling techniques to optimize design performance

    + Some job experience in VLSI circuit verification, including testbench development and debug

    + Some job experience in VLSI layout and floor planning support in collaboration with layout engineers

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $65.00/hour to $80.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
