CTG is seeking to fill a Workstation Technician opening for our client in Red Wing, MN.

**Location:** Red Wing, MN

**Duration:** 12 Months

Job Summary:

+ Collaborates with Workstation Support Services business units to ensure hardware and software orders are received, configured, scheduled, and installed.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Ensure equipment is labeled according to specifications

+ Research, verify, and document device specifications according to purchase orders and standards

+ Coordinate with service and business units to relocate equipment as requested by departments

+ Independently perform on-site installation, customer service, and technical installation and/or repair support

+ Serve as a technical and equipment liaison in the field and collaborate with other support services (e.g., Help Desk, Applications, Materials Management)

+ Assist with end-user training and explain hardware/software requirements and break/fix options

+ Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for installations and repair requests

+ Collaborate with other IT Infrastructure areas to manage parts inventory

+ Evaluate and process equipment according to IT Security policies and guidelines

+ May require overtime and on-call participation

Required Skills & Experience:

+ Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience

+ Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service

+ Experience with ticket tracking software and documentation tools

+ Flexibility with workloads and ability to manage special projects or urgent orders

+ Basic understanding of computer-related terminology (e.g., CPU, Internet, Networking, Client/Server, LAN/WAN)

+ Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds, bending, stooping, kneeling, and working with arms above shoulder level

+ Must be able to distinguish colors

Preferred Skills & Experience:

+ Two (2) years of customer service experience supporting computers, OR

+ Associate degree, OR

+ Two (2) years Technical School training in Computers, Technology, Electronics, or a related field

Experience:

+ Two (2) years of customer service experience (required)

+ Experience supporting computers (preferred)

Required Education:

+ High School Diploma

Preferred Education:

+ N/A

Required Certifications & Licensure:

+ Valid driver's license

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $20/hr to $25/hr. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
