Position Purpose:
Provide quality service to internal customers by analyzing, implementing and administering employee benefit plans for all employees, retirees, and dependents consistent with company goals, budgetary constraints, plan documents, policies, prior practice, established procedures, union contracts and state and federal regulations. Assist the Manager, Total Rewards with the administration of assigned projects as needed.

Administer all employee benefit plans and programs; (401(k), medical, dental, vision, basic life, supplemental life, basic AD&D, supplemental AD&D, LTD, HSAs, FSA, COBRA, educational assistance, additional benefits as needed), by maintaining accurate records of enrollments, changes and terminations and by the timely and accurate payment of insurance premiums and communication of employee changes with third party vendors. Maintain a 401(k) eligiblity file.

Assist with the design, development, analysis, and implementation of new or improved employee benefit plans, programs and/or practices. Assist with the selling of benefit plan changes to represented employees. Assist in ensuring regulatory compliance by maintaining Plan Documents and Summary Plan Descriptions. Create and provide service provider with a plan compensation file for use in compliance testing. Assist in completing 5500 forms and other filings, and in creating and distributing Summary Annual Reports and other required communications. Produce and distribute annual employee benefit statement. Timely completion of all reporting requirements under the Affordable Care Act. Work with auditors in periodic examinations of benefits plans.

Timely and accurate communication with individual employees and retirees regarding their benefits including benefits orientation for new employees, retirement counseling, benefits exit interviews, COBRA notices, etc. Annual update of the Summary of Benefits, and HR Benefits Website.

Timely resolution of employee and retiree problems and complaints through communication with insurance company claims departments and other third party vendors.

Contribute to the timely completion of special projects including RDS, Medicare Part B subsidy, PBGC, retiree census, HR turnaround document, HIPAA, ACA, open enrollment, rate cases, contract negotiations, annual HR budget, and other areas or projects as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelors Degree or equivalent business experience.
+ Five or more years experience in administering and analyzing employee benefits.
+ CEBS, SHRM or equivalent professional benefits designation preferred.
+ In-depth knowledge of federal and state laws governing benefit plans.
+ Must posses a high degree of efficiency and organization with strong personal computer skills.
+ Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of personal employee information.
+ Ability to travel amongst our current and future locations on a weekly basis. This includes both in state and out of state travel, as well as occasional over night travel.
