About you and this role:
Dow's Sabine River Operations has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Operations Leader at the EEO plant located inOrange, TX. EEO supports two businesses, Energy Systems and Environmental Operations. The Operations Leader shares responsibility and accountability for plant personnel, assets and achievement of the plant related site, business, and corporate goals. Provides leadership to the plant operations team which includes both professional individual contributors and administrative, technical and / or operational supports employees. They act as the primary back-up to the Production Leader and has accountability for the performance and results of the team. As a leader, they should foster a work environment with a high level of integrity and strong customer and safety focus that embraces inclusion and diversity, innovation and sustainability, continuous improvement and empowerment.
Responsibilities / Duties:
+ Partners with the Production Leader to drive a strong personal safety, process safety, and environmental improvement plan to achieve EH&S goals and ensure compliance with regulatory and permit requirements.
+ Supports Production Leader to provide motivation, explanation, context, and communication purpose of messages to the empowered organization.
+ Develops operation employees and ensures career success via goal-setting, performance management, promotion processes, and employee development plan.
+ Knows the business model and strategy for facility.
+ Explains to operations how the plant fits into the business and corporation.
+ Administrative Leader of Run Plant Process Technicians, 41 total, including execution of the requirements of the Performance Management process
Required Qualifications:
+ A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
+ A minimum of 7 years of industry experience
+ A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
+ Process Safety knowledge and application
+ Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to train and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.
Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:
+ Lift, push, and pull up to 55 lbs.
+ Work at heights, climbs stairs and ladders
+ Work in tight and closed in spaces
+ Wear all required personal protective equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes
+ Work in an area of intense or continuous noise
+ Work in an area with hazardous materials
+ Perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
+ Stand or walk for extended periods of time
+ This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground
+ Must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses with a total weight capacity of 300lbs.

+ Manufacturing Operations: Manufacturing operations concern the operation of a facility, as opposed to maintenance, supply and distribution, health, and safety, emergency response, human resources, security, information technology and other infrastructural support organizations.
+ Conflict Management: Conflict management is the process of limiting the negative aspects of conflict while increasing the positive aspects of conflict. The aim of conflict management is to enhance learning and group outcomes, including effectiveness or performance in an organizational setting. Properly managed conflict can improve group outcomes.
+ Servant Leadership: Servant leadership is a leadership philosophy in which the goal of the leader is to serve. A servant leader shares power, puts the needs of the employees first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible. Servant leadership inverts the norm, which puts the customer service associates as a main priority. Instead of the people working to serve the leader, the leader exists to serve the people.
+ Stakeholder Communications: Stakeholder communication addresses the regular exchange between a company and its stakeholders. It differs according to type, means, frequency and time.
+ Accountability: Accountability is equated with answerability, blameworthiness, liability, and the expectation of account-giving. It is the acknowledgment and assumption of responsibility for actions, products, decisions, and policies including the administration, governance, and implementation within the scope of the role or employment position and encompassing the obligation to report, explain and be answerable for resulting consequences.
