Position Overview

As a Surveyor, you will play an integral role in establishing and maintaining methods for safe, accurate and efficient Survey Field Operations. You will have responsibilities over field survey operations, and should plan to spend the majority of your time in the field performing survey field operations.

District Overview

Kiewit's Central District operates in the central and south-central regions of the United States. We build heavy civil and transportation projects, including highways, airports, mass transit systems, canals, dams and tunnels. With one of the largest equipment fleets in the region, we can mobilize to any location as a full-service construction team capable of self-performing mass grading, drainage, bridge construction, aggregate production, paving, rail and utility construction.

Location

Project assignments will be determined at time of offer.

We have current projects in CO, NE, KY, TN and surrounding regions.

Must be willing to travel and relocate regionally throughout career.

Responsibilities

Field Survey Operations:

+ Implementing the project survey plan specific to field operations.

+ Oversee the operation with periodic reviews of record keeping, field procedures and survey audits to ensure that all work is performed in an efficient and professional manner.

+ Maintain accurate and legible field notes.

+ Setting and maintenance of control network.

+ Performing layout

Qualifications

+ Must be willing to work 50-60 hours per week, along with weekends

+ 0-3+ years' experience in Construction Survey, Dimensional Control, Industrial Measurement, or a related field is required

+ Trimble experience is a plus

+ Dynamic thinker with the desire to lead, motivate and mentor teams

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a team

+ Committed to working safe and getting the job done right the first time

+ Must have reliable transportation

Base Compensation: $63,334/yr - $99,908/yr

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
