Starting Salary: $1,462.60 Bi-weekly. (In accordance with current spending restriction, an internal promotion in the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is higher.)
DESCRIPTION :
Must be a current State of Florida employee.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Circuit and assisting regional office staff members with personnel, purchasing and general services duties as necessary. This position requires initiative, strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail and the ability to creatively adjust to a variety of changing workflow demands.
This position provides high-level administrative support by utilizing automated systems for personnel Circuit staff in performing personnel, general service requests and procedures.
Responsibilities of this position include: preparing, composing and tracking all correspondence; researching and assembling data, assisting Circuit staff with questions regarding established policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency; and other administrative paperwork; organizing, maintaining and updating hard copy and electronic files of all project related activities and personnel records; routine administrative support including receiving and properly routing incoming mail, handling outgoing correspondence, maintaining office supplies, and photocopying; maintains calendars and making meeting or travel arrangements.
Incumbent will also coordinate the procurement of commodities and services in Ariba On Demand (AOD); reviewing purchases for compliance with Florida Statutes, and DJJ rules and policies; ensuring invoices are submitted with the proper documentation; and assisting with employees’ travel expenditures. processing invoices, requisitions, purchasing card charges.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS :
At least 2 years of administrative, secretarial or clerical experience.
Have experience with the People First System for Human Resource related functions such as Personnel Actions and Timekeeper responsibilities.
Have a valid driver’s license.

Licenses that have Corrective Lenses Restriction are acceptable, provided the driver wears corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.
