    Position Overview and Responsibilities:

    Phosphate Management Program within the Division of Water Resource Management. This position serves as staff assistant to the administrator and provides support to the program which is responsible for the statewide management of all phosphate activities.

     

    + Assembles and copies signed permits, enforcement documents, correspondence and documents for mailing and distribution.

    + Performs program purchasing and budget functions

    + Maintain filing, section’s library, weekly car sheets, monthly vehicle reports, staff work schedules, staff personnel files and all section’s log system, including time and travel

    + Answers the telephone, screens and takes messages for the Supervisor and section’s technical staff. Makes travel arrangements for Supervisor and other program staff, coordinate meeting schedules, prepare travel itinerary, including reservations.

    + Prepares travel authorizations and reimbursements

    + Other responsibilities as required by the Supervisor

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Ability to think creatively, utilize problem-solving techniques, and make decisions; ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments

    + Ability to communicate information effectively, both verbally and in writing, to the staff and public in a tactful and courteous manner

    + Ability to work independently; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

    + Ability to write and edit correspondence

    + Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures

    + Skill in the use of personal computers and software programs

    + Knowledge of office procedures and practices

    + Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + At least two years of verifiable related experience as described in this posting. Post-secondary degrees may be used as an alternative for the required years of experience on a year-for-year basis. A credential evaluation report from an approved agency (https://www.fldoe.org/teaching/certification/foreign-trained-grads/approved-credential-evaluation-agencie.stml) must be submitted along with all foreign degrees.

    + Maintain a valid Class E Driver’s License

    + The ability to successfully complete a Level 2 State and National criminal history background check

    Position of Special Trust Requirement:

    This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.

    Pay:

    $30,000.00-34,239.00 Annually, based on experience
