Job Description
We are seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Senior Principal Data Engineer to lead our data management and analytics efforts, with a focus on Supply Chain data aggregation and analytics. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using SSIS, data modeling using SSAS, and data science skills in Python (or other relevant programming languages).
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing data-driven strategies that drive business value and lead large-scale initiatives. They will also have a strong ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including business leaders, data analysts, and technical teams, to drive innovation and improvement in our data analytics capabilities.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI, with a proven track record of designing and deploying interactive dashboards that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. They will be skilled at harnessing these tools to create data visualizations that inform business decisions, drive strategic initiatives, and foster a data-driven culture.
As a technical leader, the successful candidate will drive the development of scalable, shareable solutions and create comprehensive technical documentation to support team members. They will also provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to ensure seamless adoption of data analytics tools and techniques across the organization. With exceptional communication skills, they will distill complex technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders, from data engineers to business leaders, and promote a culture of data-driven decision making.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and will be able to effectively present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and will be able to work with cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement data-driven initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop and implement methods to automate data extraction, transformation, and metric creation to reduce manual effort
+ Design and implement data pipelines using SSIS to aggregate corporate Supply Chain data into a central repository
+ Develop and maintain data models using SSAS to support business intelligence and analytics
+ Utilize Python for data science tasks, including data wrangling, machine learning, and predictive analytics
+ Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and assess supplier risk
+ Develop and maintain data visualizations using Tableau or Power BI to present data findings to stakeholders and key decision-makers, including C-Suite and Sr. Directors
+ Own the process of identifying and correcting errors, handling missing values, and formatting data to ensure accuracy and consistency of data for analysis
+ Work with stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize supplier relationships and improve supply chain resilience
+ Collaborate with US Sector Supply Chain teams to understand data needs and guide strategic improvements across the organization. Collaborate with global peers to develop and harmonize data strategies, roadmaps, and best practices.
+ Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and supply chain risk management - leveraging this expertise to drive innovation and enhance our data analytics capabilities.
Supplier Risk Assessment and Governance
+ Analyze large datasets to assess supplier risk and identify potential areas of concern
+ Develop and implement data-driven strategies to mitigate supplier risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement governance policies and procedures to ensure supplier compliance
+ Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to reduce supplier risk
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related technical field
+ 8 years of experience in data management and analytics, with a strong background in Supply Chain data aggregation and analytics, including experience working on cross-functional initiatives that involve collaboration with stakeholders from multiple departments
+ Expertise in SQL, SSIS, SSAS, and Python (or other relevant programming languages)
+ Strong communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership
+ Strong business acumen, with experience working in a business environment and understanding business objectives and priorities

Preferred Qualifications
+ Supply Chain experience
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership, including VPs and Sr. Directors, and collaborating with them to develop and implement data-driven strategies and cross-functional initiatives.
+ Experience with predictive and regressive data techniques to identify risks to Supply Chain
+ Prior experience with Enterprise Requirements Planning (ERP) software
+ Source-to-Pay (S2P) Software experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $106654 - $181311
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
