    Position Summary:

    Reporting directly to the VP, Radiology Service line, Manager, Business Operations/Imaging Services, provides administrative operational and financial support to the VP, Radiology Service line, Chair of Radiology and to the Imaging Leadership team across the system. Responsibilities will include but not limited to, financial and operational reports, budgeting, labor efficiency analysis, benchmarking, cost analysis, operational and quality scorecards, revenue and reimbursement analysis, contracts, measuring trends, and other financial activities with a broad functional or organizational scope. Participates in projects related to the acquisition, utilization and distribution of equipment, work redesign, and re‐engineering. Also responsible for new business plan development and ongoing analysis and interpretation of program data and identifying service‐related issues as required, providing detailed reports associated to cost analysis, TAT optimization and other project management. Coordinates and leads planning sessions to assist the VP, Radiology Service line, with the development of goals and objectives for all Imaging services. This position will partner with the finance department to ensure compliance with billing practices and identify opportunities to improve revenue capture. The Manager, Business Operations/Imaging Services works in collaboration with the Imaging Management team, Chair of Radiology, Supply Chain, Information Technology and Finance, to support operational related and strategic planning and process improvements. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, mission, vision, and values of The Guthrie Clinic.     Education, License & Cert:

    Master's Degree in Health administration, healthcare management or business administration (Preferred)

    Experience:

    1‐ 2 years of experience with strong understanding of Radiology Service line. Sound understanding of healthcare business operations. Ability to effect change and think strategically for growth opportunities. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency with desktop applications to assure appropriate support of business functions Knowledge of business administration functions including budget development and management, cost analysis, operations analysis and project management Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience in an Imaging setting with progressive leadership responsibilities. Knowledge or experience with financial analysis including reports and materials management functions.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Plans, directs, and supervises all technical and administrative aspects of the operational/budgeting process for Imaging Services which includes planning and monitoring the capital and operational budget. Use cost/managerial accounting techniques to analyze, review, and explain productivity and operations. Assists VP, Radiology Service line for business matters (Budget, revenue capture, cost savings, departmental fiscal responsibility) required for the efficient operation and management of the department including finance, information technology, process improvement, and other oversite. Analyzes various reports for the impact of the actual and/or proposed operational changes in meeting Imaging Services dashboards/scorecards including Radiologist productivity and TAT. Oversee capital budget, investigating statistics to support equipment requests and monitor all contracts within the service line to be sure the appropriate budgets are forecasted. Assist in the contract management process including contract checklists, prioritization process and redlines. Prepare monthly variance reporting at the department level and monitors and controls capital. Collaborates with department leadership as well as Radiologist leadership on ensuring the effective operation of the Department’s activities. Support cost savings initiatives in collaboration with the Imaging team with work on initiatives and overall cost savings and revenue capture. Continuously observe operational outcomes and compare against goals and/or established benchmarks. Implement process optimization/improvement initiatives when negative variance occurs. Assist leadership in building Imaging Service line budgets and spearheading operational projects. Analyze financial trends and report findings to appropriate Leadership.

    2. Prepare reports as needed, reviewing work for reasonability, and producing highly predictable accurate results. Day‐to‐day responsibilities require good use of judgement regarding timely and appropriate communication with all staff. Collaborates with all departments and individuals as needed for projects. In the absence of Imaging Service line leadership, Business manager may assume all non‐clinical duties that relate to HR, finance, and non‐clinical operations. Collaborate with Leadership to establish program specific benchmarks, metrics, and key financial performance indicators for operational and program performance management. Support strategic growth initiatives with data, analysis, financial acumen, and business plans

    3. Initiates and manages new projects that support key department initiatives that support efficiency and effectiveness, revenue generation, and LEAN/Standard work.
