    Job Overview

     

    Ebenezer is looking for a Custodian, whom would be responsible for deep cleaning of carpeted surfaces, stripping, waxing and burnishing of hard floor surfaces.  This position may also perform general cleaning duties, all within our senior living and skilled nursing community in Bloomington, MN

    This position includes;

    + 32 hours in 2 weeks, part-time schedule, 8 hour shift length

    + Day/Evening shift

    + Every weekend

    _Carpet sweeping, floor sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing_

     

    _Carpet extraction_

     

    _Stripping, waxing, and burnishing of hard floor surfaces_

    _Assists housekeeping and laundry staff as needed_

    _Assists with moving boxes, furniture, etc._

     

    _Empties and removes trash and recycling_

     

    _Performs other duties assigned_

    Required Experience/Skills:

    + Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

    + Able to read/understand instructions for safety sheets and information on chemicals, infection control practices and body mechanics.

    + Ability to perform relevant floor care procedures

    + Experience with mechanical equipment

    Preferred Experience/Skills:

    + One year previous experience in a similar environment preferred

    + Experience in floor care, custodial and/or cleaning work preferred

    + High school diploma/GED preferred
