Hourly Range:Low 24.13 per hour High $26.54 per hour
Schedule:Full time, Thursday- Saturday, 8-hour shift, between the hours of 6:30 am – 3:00 pm. Working on the weekends and holidays are required.
Job Summary: The Lead Coordinator ensures the Recovery Support Center’s daily activities and events are planned and executed effectively, schedules are posted in advance, and communication with members is timely. They oversee staff coverage and center operations in the absence of the Associate Director, manage emergencies, and ensure the center is a safe, welcoming environment. The Lead Coordinator champions recovery through peer support, acts as a positive role model and mentor, and provides guidance to members on their recovery journeys.
Essential duties / responsibilities:
Activity Planning & Coordination
+ Generate and respond to ideas for Center activities, ensuring a diverse menu that meets members’ recovery needs.
+ Plan activities with necessary supplies and tools for success.
+ Keep members informed of activities and events through calendars, flyers, emails, calls, and social media, communicating changes promptly.
+ Participate in and support peer-led activities and events.
Operations & Administration
+ Act as the go-to person to ensure the Center follows daily schedules and operational guidelines in the absence of the Associate Director.
+ Support the Associate Director with schedule coverage and data entry, including managing member enrollment and attendance records in databases.
+ Attending regional BSAS meetings and assisting with contract-related tasks (e.g., surveys, Recovery Month planning).
+ Track inventory and place orders for supplies as authorized.
+ Enter basic information into databases and maintain documentation.
Member Engagement & Support
+ Provide coaching and mentoring to members and staff assisting with operations.
+ Maintain an active, supportive presence; build professional relationships focused on recovery, wellness, and personal growth.
+ Welcome new members, conduct orientations, membership applications, and membership card scanning.
+ Promote safety by ensuring positive contributions to the recovery community.
+ Provide supportive redirection or referrals for members exhibiting concerning behavior.
+ Intervene respectfully to enforce Center rules and values.
+ Encourage members to organize thoughts, generate ideas, and become more involved.
+ Promote recovery resources and provide information through multiple channels.
Recovery & Peer Support
+ Uphold trauma-informed, recovery-oriented values and Center’s Code of Ethics.
+ Champion peer-based recovery services and encourage community involvement.
+ Practice motivational interviewing and recovery coaching techniques.
+ Ensure consistency and follow-through on commitments.
+ Collaboration & Professional Development
+ Collaborate with SFH staff to support members across programs.
+ Participate actively in training, workshops, and weekly supervision with the Center Director.
+ Adhere to agency code of conduct.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

+ Understands and supports person-centered, recovery-focused, trauma-informed care.
+ Good at problem-solving and analyzing situations.
Education & Experiences:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 1–2 years’ experience working with people experiencing homelessness or substance use recovery.
+ 1 year Lived experience in substance recovery required
+ Lived experience with homelessness is a plus.
+ Understanding recovery coaching, motivational interviewing, or addiction treatment is helpful; all staff will complete Recovery Coach Academy training.
+ Compassionate commitment to supporting people with homelessness, disabilities, and behavioral health challenges.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office and HMIS databases.
+ Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
