Description of Duties:
The Coordinator of Testing and Assistive Technology will oversee and maintain the testing areas, which are equipped with accessibility features and assistive technology. They will coordinate personnel and technological logistics for exams; liaise with students and faculty to schedule exams and collect appropriate testing materials; administer accommodations for tests; and facilitate return of exams to faculty. Additionally, the Coordinator will perform technology audits, recommend applicable technology and applications, and guide students through the use of them. The person in this role should have a high level of comfort and fluency with computer applications and workplace technology, including assistive technologies; and have some familiarity with ADA, ADAAA, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
+ Coordinate Testing
+ Accommodate student testing requests through with faculty, collecting materials, coordinating proctor personnel and any technological logistics, coordinate returning tests to faculty
+ Maintain the integrity of the testing environment
+ Adjust and convert materials to meet accessibility needs/formats consistent with student needs
+ Assistive Technology Support
+ Maintain a level of fluency with assistive technology used both within the testing environment and Student Accessibility Services (Read and Write Gold, Equatio, computer applications, Goodnotes, Notability, scanner pens, smart pens, recording devices, etc)
+ Make recommendations on new technology
+ Create assistive technology user guides and facilitate trainings to students
+ Engage in technology evaluations/audits with students and recommend assistive technology which may facilitate access in courses and in testing
Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization OR an Associate's and 2 years' experience working with program organization or office management and technology, preferably assistive technology
