    Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.

     

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences.

    + Evidence of strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.

    + Proficient with various software and productivity tools (Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, copier, scanner, etc.

    + Prior experience handling sensitive or confidential information.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree.

    + Experience in higher education environment.

    + At least 2 years of experience in an administrative office setting.

    Job Description

    The Administrative Assistant II manages all administrative operations for the units within International Affairs. The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the AVP for International Affairs.

    Job Duties

    + Provide front desk support for the offices within International Affairs in one shared check-in desk.

    + Manage and direct phone calls coming into the International Affairs office.

    + Responsible for student staff hiring, training, and scheduling. Act as the supervisor of student employees, who perform functions of greeting guests, helping answer student queries, taking and directing phone calls, making copies, shredding documents, etc.

    + Manage and direct the generic office email accounts for ISSS and EA.

    + Manage inventory and purchasing of office supplies, event materials, and technology, with final purchasing approval by the AVP .

    + Provide support within People Admin on posting positions, entering updates, and processing PCRs for all units.

    + Act as the manager of staff travel for the office.

    + Be responsible for the file and records management and coordinating retention schedules per university policy.
