Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Director for Grants. This is accomplished by managing, maintaining and adhering to budgets, handling reporting, communicating with grantors and grantees, working with project directors and principal investigators, maintaining various reporting, updating and maintaining records, and assisting with the Grants for Innovation Program.

Other duties include serving as an alternate grant lead in the absence of the Director for Grants

Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

Required Education

Associate’s Degree

Required Experience

One (1) year of direct grant experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Word

• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel

• Strong reading, comprehension, and writing skills

• Strong interpersonal communication skills

• Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction with an emphasis on collaboration

• Capacity to learn and perform all essential job functions with accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• Two (2) or more years of direct grant management experience

• Federal grant compliance experience

• Experience with grants in secondary or postsecondary education settings

• Proposal writing experience

**Hours per Week** 40 - 100%

8:30 – 4:30 M-F
